Digital preservation policy

CienciaUAT uses the LOCKSS system to create a distributed file among the participating research libraries, allowing them to create permanent files of the journal for preservation and restauration purposes.

In addition, the journal implements different procedures to ensure users have full access, over time and through technological changes, to the digital documents that are managed and published. These include the following:

• Assignment of DOI (Digital Object Identifier).
• Preservation in HTML (HyperText Markup Language), XML (eXtensible Markup Language), 
  and, coming soon, EPUB (Electronic Publication).
• Distribution to different databases.
• Incorporation of material in PKP (Public Knowledge Project) Network, which includes the LOCKSS and CLOCKSS systems.
