Peer review policy

All submitted manuscripts will be subject to an editorial process which develops in various stages:

  1. Manuscripts will be thoroughly reviewed to ensure they meet the requirements of format and originality (similarity with previously published work).

  2. They will then be subject to a preliminary review by the Editor and some of the members of the Editorial Board, who will decide on their relevance. If they do not meet the relevance requirement, they will be rejected).

3. The manuscript will then be reviewed by at least two external expert reviewers, who are independent from the research team and external to the authors’ affiliation, who will determine whether it is accepted or rejected based on an academic and scientific analysis. In the event of disagreement between the reviewers’ decisions, the manuscript is sent out to a third reviewer, whose decision will define publication.

All manuscripts undergo a double-blind review process, in which the authors do not know the reviewers and vice versa. The result of the review process is irreversible.

Acceptance

Those manuscripts required to make minor or major revisions will have to comply with the reviewers’ suggestions before being considered for publication.

The final acceptance of the manuscript will be conditioned to the compliance of all the editorial requirements prior to its publication.
