Abstract

Gender equality in Mexico is expressly guaranteed in the Constitution of the United Mexican States, the laws that derive from the same, as well as international treaties and other legal instruments concluded by our country. However, despite this, at present there remains a wide gap between legality and reality on gender equality, a fact often favored by women themselves.
